like the contrast to this shot. the people look like they are outlined in light, which adds interest for me.

Sorry, the white outline around the figures is very distracting and takes away from the contrast on the surface of the water.

This is a good image, the people add the final touch, without them it would be an empty beach foto, it's clear to see that they are couple and that they are interacting with eachother, good composition
That said it looks like they are glowing, not sue if that is the reflection of the sun or not but it looks like a PS hik-op
