Could be used for an Ad (right side available for text)by dimitriiComment by joanns: I was trying to think of a product that would use this type of imagery, I wonder what you imagined. Perfume, anti depressants, AIDS awareness, battered women. She has a bit of a furrowd brow and that evokes a troubled feeling. I would like a little more light in her right eye but I think you accomplished your goal. Very nicely done. |

Incarcerationby dimitriiComment by goodtempo: Critique Club Critique
Composition/Content Good imagination in viewing the farthest handcuff through the near one. Nice and simple image makes it interesting. Both the angle and the perspective combine in a unique way to present this image. Solid white background was a good choice.
Lighting Good lighting and contrast.
Camera Work/Technical Great use of DOF for effect. Good exposure.
My Opinion I like your imagination and expression in this image. I would like to have seen slightly less angle. I also wonder what the image would look like if both handcuffs were in focus. Very nice job.

Happy Valentine's Dayby dimitriiComment by zadore: haha, this is hilarious...and nicely photographed too. The lighting could be a bit better, and maybe the white balance is off a tad...still a nice shot :) |

Happy Valentine's Dayby dimitriiComment by kandyj: Ooh, hope this lady still has a liver. I would have preferred a less yellow cast, and the only other thing I would change is the area above the ear on the left, which kind of glows and looks really blurry. I like this shot anyway. 7 |

Before ..................... and .................. Afterby dimitriiComment by psychephylax: A visit from the critique club :)
At a first glance I was confused as to what that was on the right. It took me some thinking to figure out what that was. The framing is definitely interesting. What I would have used instead of that meat product is just some fried up bacon or some hot dogs. It would definitely be a much easier thing to recongnize.
The depth of field is fine, exposure is good with the exception of that reflection on the meat. It doesn't hurt a lot but since my eye did spend most of the time looking at it I think better diffusion of light would have added a little to it.
Meets the challenge of course. |

Incarcerationby dimitriiComment by lisae: This is a very, very cool photo. Handcuffs? I guess you took the angle of fooling us with a perspective trick (seeing one handcuff through the other) rather than the "dramatic" interpretation. The shallow DOF is used beautifully here, and the composition is great. 10 from me. |
