Best of the "Shadow" shots I've seen so far.

Comment by mycelium:
a less wrinkled backdrop would have been advisable.

Comment by RolandB:
Needs a smooth background. Best if use a white paper (or board) or at the VERY least, the sheet needs to be ironed! The wrinkles are very distracting. Otherwise, pretty good lighting.

Cool idea. Like the picture, but I think I'd get a smoother background and exclude the outlet plug.

Comment by Matthew:
nice idea! Good prop. Your backdrop is very distracting, however - really needs to be smooth, or intentionally ruffled. Comes across here as just being unironed! Could get nice bokeh and blur the background by moving prop forwards and using smaller Av number. Could do with a touch more detail in the balcks (overexposure would help obscure background too) and a bit more sharpness would help.

Excellent idea and subject. The lighting is poor, I would like to see more of the mouthpiece form inside and out. Also the wrinkles in the planket are very distracting. For studio set-ups you may wish to invest in a sheet of velvet, felt and/or paperboard of black, white, and /or neutral. Velvet is best because it absorbs light that can cause distracting reflections and can give you a totally blank background. Hope that helps, good luck on future studio shots :)

Clever take on the challenge. The background is a bit distracting, would have liked to see a bit more detail on the earpiece.

Better Lighting could have brought out top of phone more.
Would have used a different angle to highlight dial a little more.
also would imagine cord to right could have been hidden under or thru backdrop.
