Day01.jpgby WalesPComment by noraneko: This is a very interesting photo with the sharp lily and curving lines in the water. The droplets of course make the lily even more appealing.
I wonder if perhaps a little upping of blacks in the neutral channel on selective color in PS would add some extra structure to this photo? I don't think the gray water surface does much to enhance the subject here, especially because it is so patterned. |

Breakfast of Championsby WalesPComment by noraneko: Ron, I'm so sorry this got disqualified. I honestly can't even tell the difference between the one where you evidently cloned a couple of spots and the one where it would have been legal. They must have been the two tiny areas in the black?
Anyway, I think this is a fantastic capture. You've got great composition with the head right up there on the third, a nice diagonal line running through the photo, and it is very sharp, especially considering that I'm sure the lizard was moving. No wonder you have a 6.9+ going on this! |

Spanning the Distanceby WalesPComment by Node: Fantastic! That's what I wanted to shoot but settled for a shot that I shoehorned in. Excellent photo, great DOF and meets the challenge spot on, well done! scoring high. |

Giant Leopard Mothby WalesPComment by jonfrommk: I am starting to worry about where you live Ron. Bug eating lizards one week and then this critter the next
Very impressive macro, great dof and the whites are positively glowing without being blown out. Super counterpoint with the elctric blue markings. Congrats on your second consequtive 6+ score (breakfast of champions still counts in my books) and on getting another shot on your front page |

Breakfast of Championsby WalesPComment by jonfrommk: Oh my word, I have only just spotted this DQ. I am so so sorry Ron. It seems very harsh but I guess rules are rules. DQ or not I have to say this remains a stunning shot and one of which you should be rightly proud |
