The Stareby WalesPComment by klkitchens: Shame it wasn't advanced editing, you could have cloned out that distracting thing in her eyebrow. Otherwise, pretty decent effort. |

The Stareby WalesPComment by awelsh: OK pose, I dunno about the head tilt and her expression. Lighting is a little flat. |

Bye..... Ya'll come back.by WalesPComment by jonfrommk: Very 'Bridehead Revisited' type composition, which leaves the viewer to fill in the story (a facet of great photography in my opinion).
Makes me think of a wife waving her husband off to fight in the first world war. There is monetary richness in the home, but no amount of cash can ease the pain of departure
Great job |

Bye..... Ya'll come back.by WalesPComment by colorcarnival: Heh - pretty woman beats a flower with hot pixel any day :p
Your people shots are getting more and more interesting. Like I said, I don't think the title is fitting with this because this looks like a Grecian scene more than anything. I think the sepia works well with that theme to. Nice jump from 5.5 :D |

Bye..... Ya'll come back.by WalesPComment by chromeydome: beautiful subject and tonality, the sense of light is perfect. I find myself slightly distracted by the sliver of dark window on the left, as I think I would be more at ease viewing this image if her hair and eyes were the darkest elements. Once past the basic editing rules, a selective dodge lightening of the window sliver might be worth playing with, as might be a tiny bit of darkening of the pillars on the left and right--make her the lightest element here. Or ignore everything I just said, either way you got an 8 from me! |
