I like the light just barely touching your left eye. Leaves a lot of mystery :) You are spot on about the focus, but in this shot, I am not bothered by it as much. Probably the shadows but it gives it just the right feeling... like you are emerging from the dark. bwahahhahahahaaa Very emotive 1st shot.

Nice shot and nice finish Ron. The blue and yellow of course work very well together and the drawn line has a beauth all of its own. I am intrigued as to how you suspended the pencil. I guess the slight shadow is the sort of thing that may have cost this an even higher finish. I am not sure whether this could have been cloned out or not (after reading recent threads on what is allowable my guess would be yes)

Wow tremendous shot and as Michelle pointed out a 6+ in free study is nothing to be sneezed at

Beautiful reflections and the richness of the colour almost gives the shot a tonemapped/HDR feel to it

Looks like a wonderful place to get back to nature and the sort of image that makes me think 'I want to go there' (although I would wonder what wildlife lurked in that water)

ETA - Is that a knotted 'swing rope' on the right of the shot if so you can become my hero by telling me that that was what you used to enter the water on the Sunday
