Looking towards Heavenby 2ShayComment by Incarlight: Turning the photo upside down would actually be more like the deceased's POV, but that would probably make it too abstract.
The angle itself works for me, except that it's difficult to see whether the cross or the trees are the subject. Might work better if cropped differently, but I can't "see" an obvious crop to try out.
My favourite thing about the photo is that everything but the sky looks b/w. It works well here, and gives the photo a good feel of the kind of serenity you can only find in a cemetary.
