I really like your take on the challenge. I just don't care for the placement of the subjects...or rather crop. Perhaps cropping the bottom up to the bottom of the cup would be better. Also, it could be the make of the cup, but it looks a bit lopsided.

though I think an argument could be made that this is a shot showing the place you call home, I can't really see it from the picture, and can't in good conscious agree that this is a right interpretation even with the most liberal of definitions! Great shot though, I like the composition with one balloon near and cut off and the other in the sky. Nicely done.

Interesting I got two piano pictures in a row. Yes, it definitely hits the topic. I'm not sure the straight-on side view is the best, but it's not bad, either. A bit more focus on the keys and less on the fingers maybe?
