Rusting Awayby ShamanComment by kawhona: Too much empty space ... this empty space creates excessive contrast which prevents your subject from being more dramatically lit and colored. I think this is an attempt to fit the rule of thirds in where it doesn't suit you. |

No Skateboards, No rollerbladesby ShamanComment by TooCool: Great lines, anticlimatic ending. Put a person on their cell phone or something like that in front of the sign and ya got something! Also it's too bad you have what Ansel Adams used to call a bald headed sky. A few dramatic clouds and this would be the bomb!

No Skateboards, No rollerbladesby ShamanComment by Mr_Pants: Leading lines indeed. However, I feel that in this type of picture, it would be better to have it all in sharp focus (for the purity of the lines) and the handrail nearest the camera is a bit too soft. |

Rusting Awayby ShamanComment by popdeepop: I like the sky and tree line. The wheel is self-explanatory. I would have more of the wagon and wheel and less field/sky. |

Rusting Awayby ShamanComment by Balko: I would crop off a bit from the right to place the wheel in the 2/3 postion (rule of thirds) |

Light Paintingby ShamanComment by mesmeraj: i honestly could not tell what it was-but it was clear to me by its shinniness and reflective nature it was metal - so i took it to be an intentional abstract, and liked it. I gave a 6. You used the three coloured lights very well imho, and i dont thinnk the "blown highlights" hurt in this case, since it obviously is a reflective object, it is an expected and forgivable, even complimentary "fault".
Personally i would have roatd clockwise abit more so the white reflections in the bottom were more parallel with the border. Good to see youre using work hours to improve photography!! :D |
