wonderland fleursby gurlwithapenComment by Nald: Love the shot but the border is taking away from in IMHO. I would experiment with different low key colors in the border and you'd have a beautiful image that would EXPLODE off the viewers screen. |

Nov7.jpgby gurlwithapenComment by srdanz: I would try two things with shots like this one:
- try removing background. You have a textured table top (?) as your background, but your main subject has bubbles in it that is interesting in itself and does not neet to compete for attention with anything else.
For the intended b&w composition, placing a dark preferably black cloth underneath the ball could do it.
- experiment with different angles and different lighting options. Even without softboxes and fancy studio lights, you can try something like shooting the ball in a darkened room, and try using e.g. flashlight or a candle as your light source. You would put a camera on a tripod so that you are not limited by the exposure time. |

One of these things is *not* like the others....by gurlwithapenComment by Sammie: Clever take on the challenge. The picture is fairly well done (focus could be a bit sharper) - the composition of this picture could be improved very much by cropping so the crumbled sack was on one of the thirds rather than so centered. Also, the border is so wide that it is overwhelming the picture. |
