I love the texture of the old book bindings. I like the fac that there is strong directional light. But the shiny plastic covers ruin the photo in at least two related ways. First, I want to see the texture of the covers, but I cannot, Second, I don't want to be looking at shiny reflections. It's not clear to me whether there is a way to light this without glare. If not, perhaps another subject would be better.

I must be missing something. I'm staring at what appears to be an ordinary pair of eyeglasses, looking for something unusual in the reflections or shadows. I just don't see it.

Only the title and knowing the challenge topic makes this somewhat surreal to me...I prefer it when the photographs don't have to rely on the title.
