Ok, I must say this image has me intrigued, seems like there is a message here, I'm just not sure what, and I've been staring at it for over 5 minutes now.... Technically speaking, the focus is a bit soft on all but the flower itself, the upper leaves near the 8 ball, and the 8ball itself seem quiet soft, also the lighting appears unbalanced at best. I think this image has A TON of potential, and I would love to know what the artists message/theme is behind it, perhaps reworking the lighting and focus, as well as perhaps putting the 8ball on its natural habitat (a nice green table would rock with the green in the flower) and this image could really be awesome! Just MHO...

This is indeed a very nice approach. It leaves the minor question whether the tones in the stones could have been exploited more. Not to worry, the composition and idea are extremely well. Bumping up.

Really a brilliant capture in my opinion! The colors compliment perfectly, the composition is spot on. Maybe a tad overexposed at the base of the wall where it descends adjacent to the steps, but I still like it a lot. Would make a great print.
