This is really good - I love how you chose to tell the story with the diptych! Oh, and edit to add that I saw some chains/locks on a railing in Wiesbaden at the place where marriage ceremonies are performed and thanks to you I know what that means! Otherwise I'd be quite perplexed.

nope, i don't even have one of those...
the dark sky was achieved by using a red filter in PP plus a gradient curves adjustment to selctively darken the upper left part of the sky.

More cool shadows. Even though it is hard to expose correctly in this type of light, I do love the strong shadows.
