A shadowing historyby MephistoComment by Haneck: the composition, with all the harsh highlights and shadows, does not particularly appeal to me, but the composition is interesting. |

A shadowing historyby MephistoComment by JulietNN: nice crisp, clean sharp details with your eye drawn straight to what you want to look at. Love your shadow wok and the details in the crumbling walls, Well done |

The only human beeing who lived in harmonyby MephistoComment by ubique: I liked it more at first glance than I do on reflection; I have the feeling that it looks more consequential than it actually is. I wondered if you were saying that the central, strangely hunched figure finds harmony only in solitude? That works I guess, versus the couple behind, but then what of the other two solo persons further back? If the central figure is the only human beeing (sic) living in harmony, then what are they living in? I couldn't work out what it meant, and concluded that it doesn't mean anything at all. Still in my top five, though ... at least it stimulated a train of thought, even if it took me nowhere. |

The only human beeing who lived in harmonyby MephistoComment by Blackbox: I don't get the 'beeing' meaning. If I ignored the title would I see 'Life'. Hmmm? No, but it's a nice photo and very emotive looking. For me, I'm getting a feeling of depression and I mean that in a good artistic way not literally. |

A shadowing historyby MephistoComment by Citadel: Interesting shot with a subtle story to it. Great example of photojournalism. I enjoy the black and white but I wonder what the color version looks like. (For comparison sake only) |
