Well...sorry to be the first to comment on this. Anyways...here goes:

The colors are nice here and I like just the tiny bit of sun poking over the mountains.

There is some interesting clouds in the sky. A bit of post processing would be able to put some more contrast in them and make them more dramatic.

Being only 640 px its hard to get a really good pana but we can still get a feel for how this would be on a larger scale.

Composition: A little blah. Kind of hard to really do much about it though. I might go a little lower to get more of the mountains. I'm guessing that band of yellow between the mountains and the clouds was what really caught your eye. If you were to recompose this with that in mind it might make this more effective.

All in all you caught a beautiful sunset. Something to consider (and I should do this myself too): before you snap a picture of a scene, think about what caught your eye in the first place and make that your focal interest. Chances are that if it caught your eye it will capture other people's eyes when you take the picture.

Greetings from Critique Club

This is a perfectly good architecture shot that was dnmc'd by voters who didn't read the challenge description. Exposure is good, focus is good. I'm impressed with such bright sunlight that the shadow details are still clear. How did you do that? Maybe the clear blue sky is making me overestimate the brightness of that day?

Not a terribly original composition, but a good one. It lets the architecture speak for itself. I like the foreground shape on the lower left. I like how the treebranches seem to merge with the more geometrical lines of the building, but that's a subtle pleasure that most dpc voters won't appreciate. This probably would have gotten a 6 from me.

Greetings from the Critique Club.

Right off the top I really like this image, it has a story to tell, but then I like street photography. The image has a good composition, but there are a couple of things which you could have done slightly differently to make it even better.

Those two black shadows coming in from the right really break the image in half. Clone them out if you can't shoot them out. Yeah I know about major element removal ;-)

I think a small crop on the right of the image to get rid of the bit after the last pillar would also help clean up the right hand side.

Going to the guitarist, You have him placed really well. Bang on the 1/3rd line, just where he should be. However the light diagonal tiles just coming from his head draw the eye away from him. Tone them down using photoshop.

I really like the diagonals and the exposure seams to be spot on. Maybe just a little more mid range contrast could make this pop. Add a curves adjustment and make a 'S' curve adjustmet. I'm not sure about the added noise, but I have nothing to compare it to.

Probably deserves a little more than the 5.5 in my opinion

I actually like the texture, lighting and perspective... But the rest of the world likes less abstact and more studio lit shots so this is definitely disadvantaged in that arena.
