obviously lit with a very harsh, on camera flash, try using window light next time and maybe including some background detail

Nice idea, not a bad overall composiiton but the hair on her shoulder is a bait distracting and teh colors seem a bit bland. A 6

Nice capture of his expression. The flash shadow to the viewer's left is a little harsh, but what can you do? (well, if you're me, you can spend an entire afternoon building a homemade softbox for a flash you end up replacing about two weeks later, but eh, whatever). I know this was a levels experiment; the cheek seems almost TOO shadowed to me, but that's just personal opinion. Lovely eyes, and your composition/focus draws the viewer into them perfectly. :)
