To me this expresses a sense of determination. Pretty good in keeping with the theme of triumph. Technically I think the image quality could be better. The focus seems just a tad soft and the sharpening a little over done judging by the black lines around the white areas (the pole in the forground and around the helmet). Nice composition overall.

While Ia m sure that some people will love the lighting, others will not. I personnaly like the lighting, but I don't like the pose. I don't like how the eyse strain to meet the camera the way they do. It causes her left eye to be eclipsed and that isn't what I like to see.

Still a nice phot that a little head twist and eye straightening could really help.
