It's an interesting photo, I'll give you that, but I have a personal dislike for "generic" Photoshop filters, and I've only found 1 or 2 uses for this particular one. The more I look, the more I'm able to look past the filter, but overall I find it a distraction.

Very strange effect but I like it just for it's audacious weirdness. I'm not a fan of overphotoshopping though so I've docked a coupla points for that. Lovely colours, though and you've done well to retain an obvious subject in a busy image.

my goal is to comment on every photo in this challenge..heres urs..i like how the spokes(?) lead the eyes thru the photo but IMHO rust doesnt make for a good photo unless u make it sepia or B&W..good luck

Stunning image, very well balanced. Nice tones and detail in the birds and textures. I do find the twigs/branches in the upper right corner a bit distracting.

I personally do not like the bamboo/cane/vine splitting the 2 birds. But I could see where others would welcome it.

The background seems a bit muddled but nothing you could have done about it. Overall a powerful image with what has become of our national birds. A closer crop or zoom might have gained it some points.
