This is a cool idea. I like the subject. I think that maybe if you were to place the man closer to the lower right corner in the framing, it could make for a stronger shot. I say this because it appears that then his pole would all be included and strengthen the vertical split that it gives to the image and make for more of a leading line.

I wonder how this would be if you cropped it one way or the othe so the subject was a little more off-centered?

to me this is to broad i would have liked it more if it had been cropped so that there wasnt much space one either side of the sun.
