De- Parting Coupleby loveComment by oOWonderBreadOo: you did some editing on his hair? looks pretty weird... I think your monitor might be too dark if you can't see it. at the bottom of the voting screen there is a b&w bar- you should be able to distinguish all the black boxes. check it out :0) the soft glow is nice. good photo, just not exactly a movie poster |

De- Parting Coupleby loveComment by CEJ: Having a bit of a hard time with this one...her face is off - too bright/blurry or the combination makes it appear almost featureless. He is lost into the background. The main focus seems to be the back of the truck which also has some problems - grain, blown out plate. Then the title...seeing as how this was mentioned in the challenge description specifically, this is being shoe-horned in as it really isn't three words but two with one of them being split to fit. |

De- Parting Coupleby loveComment by Matthew: Weddings & films = good combo. But your flash appears to have gone a little haywire - he and she appear to be totally different shades and distractingly so. Her dress is blown out. I would recommend dialling down the flash for wedding shots and all that white. You might want to have a go at dodging and burning in PS - you may have been able to fix some of the odd shading in post processing (eg the numberplate needs to be burnt so that it is not so distracting). |

Calla Lilyby loveComment by fotomann_forever: ::: Greetings from Critique Club :::
Hi, as requested, here is an indepth critique of your submission.
First Impression - the most important one:
Strong image with nice color.
Composition:
I think it's strong and it works well for your subject.
Subject:
Stands out well against the yellow background. The comp colors works great.
Technical (Color, focus, and light):
Color is great. Focus is sharp. However, I think the shadow is a bit harsh on the bottom side of the flower. A bit of softening of the shadow with a reflector IMO would help.
To grow its vote?:
Undoutably, and unfairly, you probably got popped a bit by those that don't like flower shots. Not a lot you can do about that. Overall, you did well in scoring though.
Summary:
Great photo for this challenge. It's colorful and rather lovely.
Hope to see more from you soon,
Leroy |

Medieval Viewby loveComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club....
It's really unfortunate that a lot of photographers don't bother to fill in the "Photographer's Comments" section when they submit a photo to a challenge... especially when they check the box to request an in-depth critique. I have stopped offering in-depth critique on photos when the photographer chooses not to include his/her own thoughts on the image when they submit it... You might want to consider this in the future.
