The colors are a bit too saturated for me.

Comment by Melethia:
Very cool with the ghosted birds. I like doing HDR stuff with moving subjects. Too bad DPC deems it not to be legal because I think it adds a nice story element to the shot, like it does here.

I saw the x but I was actually more intrigued by the bird(s). Are those three birds or just one that faded out because of overlays and light? That is what's really cool about this picture.

Comment by desertoddity:
nice composition and colours, but the blown out part of the fountain is distracting and takes away from the rest of the photo because it doesn't fit in the overall colour scheme.

Comment by George:
I think the contrast is boosted to the point where you can't discern some details and some shadows and highlights are clipped. Also, I feel like the title is telling me where the "X" is rather than the "X" being the subject I'm drawn to (I'm drawn to the bird(s?) instead). Good composition and DOF.

Comment by jomari:
Although the man in the foreground is just slightly out of focus, my eye is drawn to the two men on the right, and therefore I see them as the subject. Because of that I don't interpret this photo as a case of missed focus at all.

One to examine the shape of the piece, another to analyse the technicalities of the implement...and the others to make them feel proud of their results!

I like the picture but I think too many components are in focus for the challenge.
