Sorry there weren't any challenge comments for you, Brian. Generally, that's an indication that although you met the challenge parameters, there wasn't anything to either like or dislike with the entry. In this case, you've managed to ably demonstrate a fill technique, but there aren't any overly engaging elements to the image. The colours seem just a bit flat (you might try to play with a "curves" layer to increase the contrast), and the candid nature of the image leaves you with little room to play with composition. I scored this one a 5.

Not sure that the black and white composition is really suited to this image......as an explorer, maybe seeing the colours of the trees etc would really help the image........
The composition also does not show the best elements of the monument, and the background in black and white shows a lot of distracting elements.
