From this far away, it's hard to see any detail or identify the kids anyway; against the tree, I find them a bit hard to see at all.
I don't know that the geography's like over to the right, but if it's a clear view of the water, I think I'd try moving left and shooting them in silhouette against the water and sky. I have a recent shot of some people on a rollercoaster against a so-so sunset and it seemed to work pretty well.

This speaks to me for some reason. I think it's the dark rich tones against the white of the waves. Some might find it lacking in light, but that's what draws me to it more.The leading lines take your eye all the way through the photo. 8

This is beautiful. I really love the dark, dramatic colors, contrasting with the diamond-like glow of the water crashing against the rocks. The blues are beautiful. I love this one!!! 10
