Regretby arnitComment by jmsetzler: I love the composition on this... I don't know how dark her skin really is but it looks quite dark... the clarity of this shot is most excellent... great shallow depth of field as well.. nice shot :) - setzler |

Regretby arnitComment by DougPaz: Very pretty model. Nice choice of B & W. I wish the tree didn't appear to be spearing her in the forehead. |

Regretby arnitComment by alanfreed: I love the composition -- and the skin tons and clarity are 100% right on! Nice work. |

Regretby arnitComment by Jacko: wo, nice facial features. Very pretty and strong traits. Good job with the shallow depth of field to blur the background. Good job. Jacko. 9 |

Regretby arnitComment by Gordon: A fine shot, and the graphic structure of the arch/ window is mirrored well in her face/ hair. The tree complicates and detracts a bit from this symmetry though. Has potential |

Frozen Dreamsby arnitComment by lisae: Interesting. I like the colours. I can't really get over how diseased the icy rose looks... it's not very attractive to me, but then subverting the usual imagery of a red rose isn't exactly a bad thing :). I love the camera angle, the lighting, the dark background, and the shallow DOF. |

Life inside the Frameby arnitComment by magnetic9999: Critique Club
This image has your distinctive use of negative space, where you leave a large part of the frame empty. It's an interesting effect. I also like how both of the frames are the same color. And approximately the same thickness.
In this case, you make an interesting statement by combining a frame within a frame. This time, the frame inside is tight around the model's face, yet she controls it, she applies it to herself. Does this mean that we are all in control of how we present ourselves and in reality we are all living within our own, personal "frames"? A thought provoking image. |

Frozen Dreamsby arnitComment by carsten: Great idea. Good composition, background and focus. The colours are perfect. Your choice of white and black border is right. But I would have preferred the black border outside the white a little thinner. The lighting angles are perfect but a little more diffuse light from right would have made good shadows but not so dominating in the right rose. But ... overall a very good job and I like the shot very much. High score from Sweden. Good luck. |
