Nuclear Wastelandsby arnitComment by indigo997: Finally finished voting and this was my favorite. I'd like to see the clouds a little less exposed. Maybe you can do something to help with that in PS. I like the crop. Very moody. |

My Garden Dwarf went on vacationby arnitComment by stephan: Hey, jetzt hab ich dich! Bring my garden dwarf back!!!
Just kidding ;-) But when I saw this photo during the challenge I immedeatly remembered a story I read in the newspaper about how somebodys garden dwarf went on vacation and sent a postcard back with a picture of himself at a caribbean beach. Your dwarf seem to have been catched by the same kind of wanderlust. :-) I like the humour in the photo and I think it's also technically a great photo. So I gave you a 10, but I didn't finish voting on the 20% so that probably didn't help you much.
Anyway, I would also love to see the complete album at the end or maybe the dwarf will now have an appearance on DPC more often?

Generationsby arnitComment by WildflowerJoy: Is there a reason you wanted the young child fuzzy? To me the strenght of the photo is not the right angles but the relationship or lack of between the people in it. It is one of those photos that makes you wonder about the people. |

Generationsby arnitComment by EL-ROI: I would have liked to see the focus on the boy in front. I think that would have given a different mood to the picture, a sense of the boy looking through the fence or railing, to what lies ahead in the journey of life. Very nice capture. |

Generationsby arnitComment by hgpayne: I really like this photo and the off-angle frame that defines it. Nicely done. However, the theme of this challenge was "Create a photograph where right angles produce the strength of the image." The out of focus fence/rail is not the strength of this image. It is an interesting element -- providing a metaphoric barrier between the young and the old -- a metaphysical generation gap. Hmm. maybe it is the strength of the image, or at least a key element. |
