Seems like it is working fine here. I don't see any hotspots. I do have to be careful on my P&S Fuji not to have any sun hitting the lens or I get flare problems. I sometimes wish I had an IR DSLR but then I lose the freedom of carrying this and my color DSLR together. I really can't afford it either.

Nice use of the tree for framing and the shadows are not too dark so that we lose the details of the truck and tree under it.
