Comment by graphicfunk:
This is truly obsolete because the mechanism has been replaced with solid state,so while the pump is basically the same these units are obsolete. Noce nostalgic image. 7

Comment by Linden:
The sepia gives this shot an old fashioned, nostalgic feel, but it also causes the subject to blend into the background. I also think the centering of the main gas pump between the garage doors isn't helping the photo either.

Not a lousy photo by any means, however. 6.

The sepia treatment is a very good choice, and it's a super choice of locations. There's something about the rhythm of the gas pumps against the rhythm of the face of the garage that does not work for me; don't quite know why. I wonder whether the shot would be better if the left door were cropped off and the double doors were between the pumps?

nice shot but, too washed out for my personal taste. Very nice composition though

OK....where'd you find this one? I love it. I'd love to play with this one a bit. I'd probably give it a little more contrast in the midtones and I might play with the crop a little. You could crop at the first window on the right and land the pump in a stronger visual position using the grass as leadlines from the corner.. Beautiful composition. This is my kind of picture.

Oh, the good 'ol days. Very fitting for the challenge. I'm not sure, though, that I like the angle and the crop. Perhaps getting a little closer and getting more detail of the old gas pump would have been better. The sepia tone is fitting here. Good luck 8

Comment by Minstrel:
nice rustic shot. Garage sign and pump are too centered however. would've been more effective if left side was cropped about 1 1/2 inches.
