Thanks to everyone for your comments. I was having a hard time with this theme until my wife and I went to an antique flea market. I was looking for something tacky and this was the perfect place for it! I saw several things that caught my eye but when I saw the Santa dish inspiration struck! Its actually a candy dish but I thought it would make an excellent ashtray. I don't smoke or drink so I had to buy a pack of cigarettes and use apple juice for the glass. I took the picture outside on the deck because frankly the cigarettes can really smell! This was a fun challenge. Thanks again for your critiques.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaw that's just lovely. This image doesn't necessarily shout "Action" to me - I think "motion" shots can do that more effectively. But this image has undeniably captured an intimate action that was just a moment in time. Composition is strong, close crop works well, background colours complement foreground subjects and I like the reduced colour palette that results.
