A Beautiful Day For A Hikeby GolferDDSComment by GolferDDS: Originally posted by LevT: A lovely view indeed! Congrats on HM! What I don't get is why photographers are still carrying tripods for normal daylight landscape shots. Would camera shake be noticeable for 1/1000s or less exposure, especially with modern IS? |
Good point Lev. I brought the tripod because I was considering using ND filters to enable me to take a long exposure image to express the movement of the clouds. I wasnt happy with that result. Also I was playing around with Timelapse photography. |

Artificial Intelligence by GolferDDSComment by MargaretNet: Larry, you and Lev are crazy!! The lengths you go to in order to win Unofficial Race are amazing. And yes, I can imagine your wife's reaction, this is so wild.
Congrats on the well deserved Blue and the astronomical score with a new PB! Very few DPCers ever get 8+, I am envious :) |

Artificial Intelligence by GolferDDSComment by GolferDDS: Originally posted by LevT: Congrats on your win and new PB Larry! I thought my setup was pretty good, but this is on another level! I wonder how you attached batteries to your head? Is it some glue, or you just have a magnetic personality? |
Thanks Lev,
Some advice. Dont ever try to superglue batteries to your head!!! Just kidding. I used a special adhesive tape similar to duct tape. I used insulated wire under the batteries on the tape to make a headband and I tied the tape around my head. I was able to fit the headband by tying the ends of the wire tightly around my head in the back. Message edited by author 2025-09-19 10:36:36. |
