Summers Endby GolferDDSComment by Anachronite: the lighting seems a bit harsh... is that a flash? try an alternative light source or flash from a different angle |

Summers Endby GolferDDSComment by PTLParsons: Where did you ever get such a collection of beautiful butterflies? They are georgeous and are the leaves. But you should have left out the leaves. They make it too busy and draw away from the butterflies. I realize you might have had to change your title though. The leaves by them self would have been great. Just a little too much for me. But still a good solid 6. PTL |

Summers Endby GolferDDSComment by Jacko: You insensitive bastard. How could you kill such lovely creatures, just for a photo opportunity? ha ha!. Just kidding. I love insect shots, though some would call them cliche. Keep up the good work. This shot would have been awesome if the background would have been black or white IMO. The leaves make the shot a bit too busy. Jacko. 7 |

Summers Endby GolferDDSComment by HBunch: Dead butterflies? Not a very interesting subject matter, but the colors are nice. maybe if you had focused on just the wing of one of them, it might make for a more interesting composition. Focus is nice, and lighting seems ok too. Maybe a tad busy with all the different patterns just lain on top of each other. A nice idea though. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |

Alien Urban Legend: Remove the plaque from a human's teeth and live a million years. (see details)by GolferDDSComment by HBunch: Not sure about the green on the arms, to be perfectly honest, it doesn't quite look right. There's some on the right arm that appears to be worn off onto the shirt, or floating in mid air. Also, on the left arm, it looks like only one little stripe of green. I am taking your word for it that's its not a post processing edit job, but still looks a bit strange. I like the superstition very much, and the set up is great. lighting and focus are ok, and the framing/cropping are good as well. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~ |
