Your leading line is directing to the main subject, challenge met. The harsh light in the balls distracts a little tho, maybe you could have diffused the light a tad

Ahhh, this is the other angle I thought about from the other billiards shot. It's not good tho... There are way to many distracting balls around the subject. Plus the DOF is bad because everything is in perfect focus. Good try!! 5.

Great idea! Just a tip... to help your subject stand out, get rid of the other balls. Did you try a more extreme diagonal?

I think it was a good idea and I thought having the shadow of the cue on the table was a plus. However, the orange ball in the bottom left-hand corner of the shot seemed to be working agains the idea of the line of the cue leading the eye into the shot. It might have been better placed further into the frame.
