Great set up, I like how it gets all aspects in the photo without it feeling busy or crammed. Nice space. I do wish though the food had more presence than it does, I think it was lost due to the perspective the photo was taken from. I would've also liked the whole presentation to be brighter - with the nice feeling of space, comes a need imo for greater light depth. Other than those points I think its a very good photo. 7

ouch - hope that's not yours. I'm so glad that that experience is well behind me! Kudos for originality, good take on the category. My only suggestion would be to up the contrast to "bring out" the xray a little more. Right now, the pen kind of blends in a little, maybe using a different color would serve to emphasize better. Just a thought. Nice work.

Looks good. It seems though as you could have used a bit more lighting. Seems a slight bit dark. However, the advantage is not having any bright spots on the metal and glass, except for the spoon. The angle bothers me a little bit. Only cause it's not symetrical. The plate is slightly to the left of the tablecloth, and the outline of the edge of the table is also not even at the bottom of the photo. You have a nice set up though, and definately looks delicious. I wonder how a close up would look for this food? Nice cookin. ~Heather~

You have taken a normal shot of a microscope that could have been very plain and kicked it up a notch with that cut out picture. Lighting and focus are very good. Great imagination.

I may have tried getting nice & close to the main dish, rather than attempt the entire setting. Actually, I think I would have enjoyed seeing the dish a lot closer -- it's probably something I would enjoy eating! I also would have tried to avoid using the flash (at least it appears that a flash was used here). The flash brings out bright spots in the fork, the top & bottom of the dish, the spoon, etc. Try using a tripod with a long exposure -- the results provide for much better lighting.
