This is nice, but I think and this is only my opinion, but I think that sepia toning or even their actual skin tones would have worked better for this shot. To me its look metallic. I'm sorry I can't describe it any better.

very nice, definitelly fits the theme, I like the high key style, just wish the hair wasn't overexposed. A little softer lighting would help. i'm curious about what lighting you used in this photo. There is a little bit of harsh shadow accross the left face.

On my second look at this one, I'm bumping it up. Your hand around your baby's hand is just so tender.

Nice shot. Difficult to tell (and I don't know enough about lenses) if you've used a fish-eye here or some type of filter, or it is just the natural shape of the terrain/land, but a good effect overall. If that 'shape' were enhanced/emphasized more, 'somehow' (crop variation, depending what you had to work with of course), might have made this even better. The only other thing to 'pull apart' about this shot is that the icebergs/ice(?) in the foreground has such appeal, and the reflections look good as is, but either concentrating more on them and the reflections and 'sacrificing' some of the landscape, may have given this extra punch in my opinion. Obviously, just a case of '2 different types of shots', one being more 'landscape' and the other being more 'elements'; the icebergs. At any rate, this size wouldn't do this shot justice as the detail and 'depth/breadth' is obviously going to be seen/realized in a 'wall sized' print. edit:wording & ..still like to see the 'Breaking down' larger...

This should do well. very nice picture. Small crit-- the piece of thumb in the bottom of the picture detracts slightly. Would removing it be moving a major element? bump to 8

The silver tone on the skin and highlights on the hair adds so much to this photo. One of the best in this challenge, 10
