Fire Exitby bucketComment by posthumous: Great composition, the high contrast gives this a vintage feel. It's strange seeing that cellphone so near her fundamental chakra. 8 |

Fire Exitby bucketComment by Ivory: Nice moody shot, love the highlights on the girls face and the details like the cell phone under her. Almost a silhouette except for the hands and face, works well. |

peekby bucketComment by posthumous: I've been thinking a lot about fotos w things close 2 or overlapping with the head. I wonder if they symbolize internal things, like thoughts and feelings. Usually I notice things behind the head, but here we have something at the front of the head, and the entire top of her head is wiped out by a reflected sky. it thus becomes her mindscape. but this position at the front makes me think not of dreams, or at least, not the subconscious, not the dangerous level of deep and primal desires & fears, but something more exalted, refined... perhaps her goals, her noblest thoughts, her superego, or her compassion, her vision of the world as part of herself, so that when the world is hurt, she is hurt. An environmentalist in the making!
The peek is thus a peek into the future, a figuring-out of how she will save the world, much like a Prince examining his Daddy's crown. |

shadow playby bucketComment by posthumous: r u uploading pics just 4 me now? judging pics has made me realize how much I adore emptiness, the void, oblivion, & how presence is not possible w/o absence. I have called photographers brave for facing oblivion head on. so I call you for this (braver still to enter it in a challenge! haha)
with so few highlights, every one must be perfect. like a sumi-e drawing, inverted. |
