dentyneby bucketComment by Germaine: I really, really like this, but it's driving me crazy that the gum wrapper is upside down... but that's probably the whole point! Very good black and white work. |

birdbathby bucketComment by posthumous: this is just creepy. nightmarish, even. ok, maybe not nightmarish. but weird-dream-that-you-never-forget-ish. |

dentyneby bucketComment by posthumous: I don't want to like this because then everyone will be taking pictures of garbage, but I do like it and I don't know why. Perhaps it is because Arthur Miller taught me how to tango. |

welcomeby bucketComment by posthumous: "welcome" is so small but it's the only legible word. the photo works because the boy(?) on the left is balanced by a large field of glass and marketing on the right. the shadow above and the warped sidewalk add complexity to the image. I like it. |

reedsby bucketComment by posthumous: ah, this reminds me of me when I was a lad, a Shropshire lad, smoking reeds. very 70s, though the reeds are disturbingly 3-D. wait a minute, this is Damien, isn't it? you've pulled a fast one on me, showing me my own similarity to the Nameless One. I've always said your photos were nothing but carnival mirrors. |

Stillnessby bucketComment by Gauti: to my mind this does not bring stillness, rather opression or fear or some evil lurking around the corner. Menance is the word I'm looking for. I think it's the combination of dark skyes, dark foreground and the dark house. The pattern in the foreground leads you to the dark house, not to the bright sun. |
