Ladies in Red Day 23 by riversongComment by Jutilda: NICE!!!!! The red of their jackets really add punch to the otherwise neutral tones. I like the curve of the road and the yellow stripe pulls your eye right to them. |

Bright Day Day 22by riversongComment by ErinM: That golden foliage is gorgeous. Sounds like you really appreciate the less hectic pace of life in your part of the world. Looks like a wonderful place to live. |

Autumn Treesby riversongComment by travis_cooper: This is the best, of the many, autumn tree shot I have seen so far. I really like the colors, and the soft focus. Nice job. |

Happy Birthday by riversongComment by bassbone: nice bright colors - it looks like someone had a fun birthday - the slinky in the upper left is a distraction and the lighting is rather uneven |

Apen Glowby riversongComment by dtremain: You got robbed - this is a beautiful shot - one of my favorites of the entire challenge (I was one of your 8's). Of course, this is a close-up of water, with the beautiful reflection of aspen leaves distorted on the surface, and a single leaf to tie it together. Not sure where the other voters expected you to stand to get a "more macro" shot of this...
You have some beautiful nature shots - including "Swift Mountain River"

Bright Day Day 22by riversongComment by cogerox: It's very difficult to get a good shot in bright light, and you've done a nice job of it. Your colors are brilliant, and the contrast isn't overpowering. |

Fog in the Hills by riversongComment by macrothing: Certainly better with the top of the hills/mountains and the sky, even if it is blown out, in my opinion. Difficult to make suggestions/try edits using this size. Perhaps if you could resize it to (at least) 720 width might help. I did try (and am certainly no expert), but it was too small really. I think what Bernard_Marx suggested is a very good idea: Originally posted by Bernard_Marx: This is a lovely shot Darlene. Why don't you post it in the forums and ask people to edit it (listing their steps). I bet you would get a number of takers on such a fine scene. |
