Portrait of a Falconby mexicoComment by SDW: Around the edges of this beautiful bird looks to flat like an extraction was done. Causing a distraction to me. Great detail within the bird from head down. BTW I can see the photographer in his eye :). Great shot but I'm just a bit distracted the way the subject blends with the background. 8 |

Construction or Destruction?by mexicoComment by mexico: Thanks for the comments, always appreciated!
I was a little disappointed with the results from this challenge. I thought this picture covered the challenge very well, especially the artistic side as I can see an almost watercolour quality to the reflection. It was handheld at 1/40th second which did impact the general sharpness, I agree. Tripod was in the car too!
The construction element was not strong enough in some voters minds which I can accept, but looking through the entries, these voters must have given some very low scores for a lot of other entries as I thought there were a lot of pictures with less of a construction feel about them. Anyway, thanks for your time and I hope you did well in the challenge. |

Portrait of a Falconby mexicoComment by Ivo: Great headshout though I'm not sure why you had deleted the background. It sort of takes away from it. Good luck! |

Portrait of a Falconby mexicoComment by SandyP: And a beautiful one it is!!! (portrait). Seriously, with the black background, this bird looks gorgeous. So noble and regal. Great job. |

Portrait of a Falconby mexicoComment by DanSig: looks exactly like another entry, the only difference is that this has some bunt areas on the white feathers and beek. |
