Star Trailsby chefsamComment by Simonjw: Awesome, so glad there is a strails exposure. I REALLY wanted to enter one myself, but wasn't gifted one clear evening during the challenge dates. Technicallly good exposure, and definitly long.... say 10mins? However I would have appreciated some forground reference. Also looks to be massively fisheyed.... maybe its just me. |

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by Bud: Great shot, it would be nice to have a foreground object as a reference. |

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by Xilebo: Would love to try this, fascinating stuff, this must have been exposed for hours! |

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by notonline: Interesting take on this challenge but the photo itself does very little for me. The white smokelike running thru the photo 1/3 from the right is very distracting and the bottom corners add nothing but distraction to the photo. Good luck in this challenge. <5> |

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by w24x192: This is a cool effect and an amazing natural phenomenon. However, it is not that interesting to me from a photographic point of view. I honestly have no idea what else could be done to improve upon this, short of having another point of interest. I remember seeing a star trail shot a while back that had an observatory in it - that worked pretty well, I think. |

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by MarkB: Really tough to pull this shot off with just a single exposure. THe noise in the upper left and the glare across the middle are distracting. Alos, I would have liked to see more foreground elements to provide additional interest.

Star Trailsby chefsamComment by samtrundle: The star trails need a little context here - though judging by the land in both bottom corners you did this by spinning around rather than a several hour exposure. Still, an interesting attempt. 6. |
