Wow, the detail on this is quite amazing. It's very clear, sharp, and intricate! It's a center placement, but it looks good, nicely framed on either side by the trees. The colors are very vibrant, and the slight glow on the statue itself is good, although had it been a little more widespread and really shone it may have been even better. I like the fact that you used a part of the base too instead of just cropping the statue. Wonderful image.

maybe a little lower angle from the ground up would have made a stronger image, also a little later time in the day to get a not so bright sky would have been nice.

really dark. should have reshot til you got a proper exposure. your cam's histogram function (if it has it) can help with this.

I know it is very difficult to get a good shot of a hummingbird. I have found that it is best to preset the focus to the point where you expect the hummingbird to come, use a fast shutterspeed and flash, and wait for the little beauty to show up!
