Christmas Appleby DougPazComment by jmsetzler: Greetings from the Critique Club :)
Hi Doug :)
I hate that I got this photo this week because I like it... It looks like I was your only 10 of the week though :( I don't quite understand that at all. I think this was an excellent idea. I think you simply got 'nitpicked' to death. Where there is an opportunity, it seems like the voter will take it... the score is decent though...
Great shot :)

eBay Entrepreneurby DougPazComment by PTLParsons: What a unique way to advertise. Good photo, well focused. Like the cropping and the black background. Only problem I have is it is just a little dark at the tops of the finger puppets. You almost lost the top of the elephant and lion. I say this realizing if you lightened much more you would blow out your sign, so it came down to choice. You chose the better of the two, in my opinion. Main thing it lacks for me is "wow" and personal interest. But it is a good solid 8. PTL |

Nature Trims Her Treeby DougPazComment by FranziskaLang: challenge met. very fitting entry for this time of year :) . i like the red&green as both a background and additional color. the pine cone makes a nice subject, good color. some of the berries (especially that cluster to the lower left of the cone) would be even better if in focus, but your camera's DOF limits may not have allowed that. |

Nature Trims Her Treeby DougPazComment by Wes: This shot feels a little chaotic to me... there's pine needles going everywhere. If the shot focused more on the pinecone and berries around it I think it would have flowed a little better. Also eliminating the twig infront of the pinecone would have helped. |
