pearsby dragonladyComment by LoveSpuds: Like this image, but personally I think a crop to lose some of the black space accross the top would help a little. The pears themselves are really nice and I like the arrangment too. |

pearsby dragonladyComment by Elaine: I'll pretend that is red on the pears even though it is not red on my monitor. I like the composition--the wood and the simplicity. |

pearsby dragonladyComment by CNovack: Colors, composition, and objects are lovely and interesting to look at. I like that you have the three pairs resting on a old window wood frame - the texture of the wood adds additional interest to this "Still Life" capture. Lighting is very good on the main subjects. My only critique is that there is to much 'blank space' floating around the main subject of focus. Cutting down that 'empty' black space by say half to get a closer crop or zoom in on the three pears would have improved the overall image. |

pearsby dragonladyComment by Jutilda: I didn't comment on this until I came back for a second review. Not only did I up the score but the more I look at it, the better it is. This would make an awesome print. The frame of the old rotting wood is great. The light bouncing off of the pear on the right pear is a nice touch. The glow of the other two really makes for interesting appeal. It is quite artfully done. The use of negative space is spot on. 10 |
