Sun Rise Cliche'by justineComment by PaulMdx: Composition: Really good positioning and balance between the yellow petals and the black of the b/g and centre.
Technical: I really like lighting and contrast. Pic is let down slightly by the focus of the end of the petals.
Overall impression: If focus was slightly better this would be near perfect. 8 |

Sun Rise Cliche'by justineComment by MajorChaos: great shot, had to bump you up after a closer look. I might have used a contrasting background like red or blue. great shot. |

Sun Rise Cliche'by justineComment by Jacko: Love the dark background and the contrasting yellow of the flower. Nice sharpness on the water drops. The only thin I'd change would be a deeper depth of field. Good luck. Jacko |

Sun Rise Cliche'by justineComment by dadas115: I might have liked this one better if you had used a soft focus effect and overexposed the petals just a tad.

Square line tilesby justineComment by Gracious: I think your dof and focus are fantastic here! What adds interest is the lines going toward the back getting narrower because of the perspective.
All those square tiles certainly meet the challenge, and the green adds a little something.
Generally I don't find the subject terribly interesting, being an ordinary subject, BUT I like when a photographer can take something ordinary and familiar and make something of it. You accomplished this!
The lighting catches my eye too. The overall color is subtle, and pleasing.

Come Inby justineComment by Gracious: This is an interesting composition. The angle and perspective from which you photographed makes it somewhat abstract along with the crop. The gray of the door with the deep, dark shadows, adds drama and is a nice backdrop for the colorful window.
Dof field is good with good even focus.
Post processing worked real well with the texture you added.
The lock looks a little strange. Is there a door knob there? It looks sort of flat like there'd be nothing to grasp to open the door.
Over all I like this.
