Softly in redby justineComment by moodville: Think you went a little overboard with the soft focus and unfortunately this just looks very blurry. Composition is good, the red is fairly vibrant, and the reflection on the apple is minimum (which I found to be the hardest part of photographing apples). There is a little browness of the apple flesh, and I've found putting a little lemon juice on the exposed areas can lessen the time it takes for the apple to brown. The image is ok, it just looks like a very heavy fog is distorting the view. |

Two Peas in a Podby justineComment by Imagineer: Composition is a bit weak and the pea on the right is quite 'messy'. Lighting is flat too and could be improved be creating more definition by moving the light source to one side.
I'm not certain that you needed any other pods and peas in view - why? They offer no benefit to your concept and serve only to clutter it. You would have found it very easy to compose just the pod on its own, but as it stands I would have placed the focused one to the bottom, right corner. |
