I like the red. I think the only problem is you are too close. I would like the see the wiole cross.

I'm a paddler so I may have a different perspective, or expectation. It would have been nice to see a different angle for this shot. Showing the surf/ the brace/the wave. The DOF is good.

Good sharp focus, vibrant colours and dynamism. The highlights have just enough detail left in them. The paddle helps allay the confusion that would have been inevitable with this shot - good luck
