The top right corner would have been better done well, but doesn't hurt the overall image at all. This one is quite surreal. I can't help thinking the posture of the head would be better in some other angle.

i think this is a perfect example of there being too many distracting elements. the tree is ok, the rocks are cool too, the tree's shadow is beatiful (especially contrasting the precision of the fence and it's shadow), but the construction on the left, the orange fencing - totally unneccessary.
even just croppping this shot to 514 px wide (cut off left) is a good start - although you do lose some of the tree's shadow.

Revisiting and explaining my lower scores - I hope to be helpful, not insulting.

I only rated this a 4 because the photo feels cluttered, with no clear subject or purpose. The sky is somewhat overexposed, yet the snow is still somewhat dingy. Kind of tough to beat, but I think AA would have given us a slightly different look.

It's a beautiful, rugged place. I love the way the snow cover accentuates the rugged edges. It looks to me as if the photo is a little low in contrast for the challenge - it would be lovely to see some really punch blacks in some part of the photo. And while it is growing more and more the standard thing to add people to outdoor scenes to 'add interest' I find the person really distracting.

too many things on the photo, maybe you could have tried to focus more on the fence than on the rest of the things. also the tree disturbs the image.

Most of the picture aeria seems to be in the shadow. This would have to be shot from the other side or at another time of the day. Subject and compostion alright though.
