Sunshine and Clouds in Clevelandby docurrieComment by gerdagrice: Perfect exposure. I'd be tempted to crop out about an inch of sky, but I can see why you decided to leave it in, since cropping it out would have left you with an almost square format. |

Monument Rising Like The Spiritby docurrieComment by Tammer: Just out of curiosity...is this from Gettysburg? The moment I saw it, I felt like I have seen it. I like the sunlight on the trees in the background. I wonder how this would have looked if you actually layed down in the grass and gave it even more of a dramatic angle? |

Trees & Streamsby docurrieComment by TroyMosley: *Critique Club*
The first thing that I notice in this photograph is the waterfall, which is good, although the challenge was branch, your DOF is to small, you could have gone with a wider open DOF maybe 5.6 or so, this would give it focus from front to back, what i think happend here is you wanted the cotton candy effect for the water fall, so you used a slow shutter speed, but the wind was blowing which resulted in the leave being out of focus.
The color is good, i love the green
The border is a good touch
overall your photograph is a good shot, would be much better if the leaves were in focus,
Keep shooting, |

Butterfly Beautyby docurrieComment by dahkota: Greeting from the Critique Club!
Due to the lack of camera and editing imformation, this critique will be brief. Please always include all information when requesting an in depth critique.
This image is very pretty. It has a great color range, is in focus, has a good depth of field. I think the composition is a little static (flat) as it is a straight on shot with a centered composition. Both can work well in an image but the image would need something more to have tension. The black border contains the image well and I don't feel it overwhelms.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to PM me at your convenience. |
