Love the soft tone of this photo. Great pose too smelling the flower. You did a great job of capturing the sparkle in her eyes!

once again, GREAT eyes on this kid! i really like this pose better than the other i commented on. with her not looking directly into the camera, it seems very natural. i love this about this photo! what post processing did you use?

hi carisa, thanks for the nice comment. what i did with the eyes in this one was:

select with magnetic lasso
feather 5 pixels
adjustment layer - slective colour
- adjust neutrals (is it, or is grey? the one with the little grey square)
- play with the cyan, magenta and yellow until you get the colour you want. this does only give one colour, so you don't get the variation of colour of a saturated area in a colour photograph, but it's a little more subtle than really bumping up the saturation.

single colour

RGB saturation

I actually kinda like this crop... I just wish that the hand could have been somehow not centered... Can't think of how I would have cropped it differently though...

The focus is maybe a tiny bit off... I would have preferred it with the focus on the hand... The softness is just a tiny bit much.

Incidentally, this is one of my favorites from the series. Very soft and sweet.

Nice idea. It would be nice to see a wider crop to give a little more information to the veiwer. This is easier said than done, it is one of my biggest struggles when taking a picture ;)
