This is an interesting image. Not really sure exactly how I feel about it, for me, it doesn't give me a sense of another time, but, if it is only a year and half in the future, there isn't really much diff than today huh?

My first reaction was that I know him; not him personally, but people like him, and have all my life. He reminds me, by the look in his eye, of a guy I used to live near, with a certain, "don't give me any trouble, kid, I've had enough of that in my life already" look to it. He was kind, but "forthcoming" (as his daughter used to say). As for the image itself, I agree it looks a bit sterile. The angle is good, it allows for a certain respect built in as you look up toward him a little bit, but the background makes it harsher than I suppose was intended. Good suggestions from Richard ( yanko), so I won't repeat those, but he looks like a good subject for different settings if he'd go along with it.
