Good placement of all the elements of the composition - love that sun, it's not easy to get it looking so good. Best part for me is that little quarter in the bottom right - lovely reflections.

I like all these people doing their own thing, looking in different directions. If you were trying to make this photo be about the camcorder guy, you failed. This is more of an ensemble piece.

I gather this is a war memorial, though I don't know which one. That's a tough thing for a motivational poster as it really needs to connect instantly and completely with the viewer.

The photo itself is nice, though there are areas where it is poking out from its border. This sort of comes across as lack of attention to detail, even if it was done by choice.

Good match of quote with imagery. A different placement of the quote and a bit stronger style of font may have given it more impact.

1. pretty blue!
2. nice zigzag of pier with think horizon line = good composition
3. good placement of seagull
4. way to look right into the sun, kirusawa!

bad stuff:

1. kinda blends into the other sun-on-the-water photos at dpc.
2. it says 4:45 to me.
