This is a nice photo, and I like how you have it with smoke rather than the flames. I feel that this is a good interpretation of negative space. I wonder what the white spots all over are? Your negative space seems to be occupied, however, I don't think that takes away from the photo at all. Is this a WTC reference? That just occurred to me, with the one candle a bit taller than the other, the smoke and the debris (the white spots). Overall nice photo. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~

A little too much space in this one...a critique I've been choking on too. I'm seeing why more now than when I submitted. A little extra noise by the candles too, or so I'm seeing.

Thanks to the numerous contributors of comments -I'm delighted that so many people were foxed by the close-up shot of that peculiar tomato. It was not a macro shot, just cropped from the largerpic - see
